The Guest book

heres the guest book, Flowers were made from the off cuts of parchment from the invites!
I kept it all within the colours the Bride had chosen. Yes I was forced to sign it, sigh, dont see why I should have had to though, as I made the darned thing!
we only stayed an hour, as youngest went and fell over, and tore a flap of skin off his knee cap! Blooming typical!
Mind you having said that I have now spent the past 3 wednesdays at the hospital!! Firstly Middlest dislocated his fingers and chipped a bone in his wrist, the the next wednesday Youngest got into a fight after school, and broke his finger, then wednesday just gone, I had to take him to the Fracture clinic, where they tried to re-break it, to put it straight, and failed, and have now decided that it will be "re-modelled" during his growth phase, Youngest is a bit clumsy at the moment!

Sigh

Didnt realise I hadnt blogged these

I posted an example of something I had done to the KNK forum, and then suddenly realised that I havent shown you lot!!!

First up is this Birdcage, requested by the bride, as a receptacle for the wedding cards. Its quite large, 2 1/2 ft tall by 12 inch wide, so that cards could fit in through the top, under the cage lid.

The lovebirds are from Here: http://liagriffith.com/make-a-paper-love-bird/, Thank you Lia, perfect for what I needed.
The doves are from: http://theideaking.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/diy-paper-dove.html

the flowers are a mix of old Hunkydory and my own quilled flowers.
The cage is cut on my zing, you can buy the file Here:  http://alittlehut.com/decor/three-birdcages, on some 400gsm card stock, then covered with Pinfliars Gold Buff it, and Prescious metals leafing fluid.

my favourite so far

For some reason this one sings to me, which I wouldnt have thought from the starting point, but its amazing how a design can develop.
Again, a bargain from the boys over at Kraftyhands: http://www.kraftyhandsonline.co.uk/webshop/prod_2962805-Christmas-Die-Cut-Mega-Bundle-19-Sheet-Set.html

so starting point was the main image, on a white square background. so first step, distress with old paper! get rid of so much white! then choose the card colours, I took the red from the Angels dress, and the lighter older green of the tree.
so to make it pop a bit more, I matted and layered on Black pearlised paper. the Green is embossilicious  Poinsettias sanded back on core-dinations cardstock. a few Cosmic shimmer pearl dots for the visible centres of the poinsettias
the die is cheery lynn, holly flourish, some lime organza ribbon, and an ezi-bloom from the boys over at Kraftyhands.
the word Nan was created using a mixture of Crafters companion 1 inch dies, and Cheery lynns script die, and glued to the black pearlised paper, before cutting round to create a shadow layer.
on the topper there is glitter as can be seen in the top picture, some cosmic shimmer pearlised glues for the tree baubles, and the whole reason for 2 photos, is the mica I added to the angels wing, catch it right it shines, dont and it doesnt, so it grabs the eye when it does

wow that was a long post from me!

on a roll

okay heres number 3 so far from the boys at Kraftyhands and their mega die cut kit http://www.kraftyhandsonline.co.uk/webshop/prod_2962805-Christmas-Die-Cut-Mega-Bundle-19-Sheet-Set.html

Okay topper, cut a mask for the image leaving the bear visible, then I used some DSA to cover him, before dousing him in Micro Beads. Glitter, Wink of stella, and some 3D glaze on the tree baubles, sign and penguins beak and eyes.
I found an old frame from a kit I had several years ago, and embossed it with Embossilicious Vintage music, before colouring it with Tim Holtz, Faded Jeans.
an 8x8 Scalloped Card base, embosilicious Snowflake folder, and a distress of Faded Jeans, and a papermania Christmas bow, and jobs a gud 'un, as the Kiwi's would say

July Challenge at Kraftyhands

This months Challenge over at Kraftyhands is Summer Holidays. http://kraftyhandschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

I used the Vintage Transport CD, selecting 2 of the papers, and increasinging them via print options to fit  12x12 sheets.

The file is from SVG Cuts, and cut on the Zing.
